摘　　要：从历时与认知的角度看,英汉翻译中比较结构的不对等现象产生的主要原因是不同语言在历史演变过程中造成的比较结构本身的差异以及不同语言使用者在认知上的不同。This paper analyses the unequevalence in translating comparison from English into Chinese and vice versa from the cognitive and diachronic perspective. We believe that the main causes of the phenomenon are the cognitive differences between the two languages as well as the distinction of the forms of comparison due to the diachronic evolution. Meanwhile, this paper comments on some successful translations of comparison by using some theories of cognitive linguistics.
