摘　　要：21世纪科学技术飞速发展,交叉学科不断涌现,自然科学和社会科学相互渗透,对从事对外科学技术交流和工程项目的英语人才提出了新的要求。创新人才培养方式,加强对英语专业人才工程素质的培养,使英语专业的学生经历一定的工程实践锻炼,可以使他们除了具备坚实的英语语言与文化知识和能力外,还具有工程意识,创新精神和更强的解决实际问题的能力,从而更好地适应并服务于现代社会科学技术飞速发展的大环境。The 21th century is an era of high technology, information and economic globalization in which the science and technology are developing rapidly . With the continuous surge of the cross - disciplines technology , the natural and social science subjects are penetrating each other. It presents new requirements for talents who take up the exchange of science and technology and engineering projects in the future. So the talent - fostering means need to be innovated and the students of English major should be fostered as the qualified engineers by means of Engineering Training Project , which have the awareness of engineering, the initiatives and ability to solve practical problems besides the solid language and cultural competence in order to get more accustomed to this developing and changing environment.
