济公罗汉名号的来历

摘　　要：济公原本只是南宋临济宗的一位异僧,在南宋杭州浓郁的罗汉信仰氛围下,他圆寂后不久便被传说为五百罗汉转世。对此,口头文学、文本文学不断叠加新的传说以及新的称号,济公罗汉的名号由一普通的金身罗汉到紫磨金紫脚罗汉再到降龙罗汉。这些罗汉名号多有出处及历史文化内涵,而名号的更迭更有其深层的民众心理基础。Monk Jigong was just an unconventional monk in Linjizong temple, Southern Song Dynasty. In his time, it did exist an overwhelming atmosphere of worship the arhat in Hangzhou city, so Jigong was said to regain his new life as one of the five hundreds of arhats long before his death. Given the spoken literature, written literature brought him different legends and titles successively, thus his title was renewed from the initial Jinshen arhat to Zimojinzijiao arhat, till to Xianglong arhat. All these different titles can he found the supported source of evidence and embodied a deep historical or cultural connotation. These renewed titles gave a mirror of the profound mass psychological base.
