摘　　要：通过典型案例分析,阐明重大体育赛事与新城发展的关系,总结以重大节事为触媒的新城建设与规划原则,并通过对广州亚运村与广州新城发展案例的深入研究,探讨广州亚运村的选址合理性、发展动力,以及启动方式和策略,从客观理性的角度指出重大节事建设介入新城建设发展应注意的问题,从而形成可持续的良性关系。By the case study of Guangzhou Asian Games Village and Guangzhou new town construction, this paper indicates the relation between the new town development and its “catalyst” - big sports event. The further exploration of the rationality of site selection, the motive force of development and the tactics to start construction shows us some problems which should be noticed when important events evolving in new town construction.
