摘　　要：上海市医学科技情报研究所应对手足口病、汶川地震救护防疫、禽流感3起突发公共卫生事件情报服务工作初获成效。据此指出医学情报服务必须面向信息产业,树立"大情报"观念,注重人才建设和信息资源配置,善于挖掘,才能更好地在应对突发公共卫生事件中发挥作用。Shanghai Medical Information Center has made some remarkable progress in carrying out intelligence services in responding to emergent public health events, including ： hand - foot - mouth disease, Wenchuan earthquake first - aid and epidemic prevention and bird flu. Accordingly, the paper points out that medical intelligence services must be geared to the needs of IT industry, set a concept of ＂macro intelligence＂, pay more attention to personnel training and information resources allocation, and cultivate the ability of information mining. Thus the intelligence services would play a better role in emergent public health events.
