摘  要:研究了一种全光纤型光纤折射率传感器。通过将多模光纤的包层和一部分纤芯腐蚀掉形成传感区,在腐蚀区和未腐蚀区的交界处形成圆锥形的过滤区,利用圆锥形的过渡区对光的会聚与发散作用扩展折射率的测量范围,并在传感区的一端镀有全反射膜,形成探针结构。这种折射率传感器比现有的全光纤型折射率传感器有更宽的测量范围,具有灵敏度高、结构简单的特点。A novel intrinsic fiberoptic refractometer is presented. A short region of step index optic fiber is deeply etched to remove the clad and the portions of the core, and the tapered regions are formed on both sides of the etched region. Based on the dispersion effect of tapered region, the measurement range of refractive index is extended far below the refractive index of the clad. A probe configuration is made by depositing a total reflection film on the tip of the fiber. Theoretical model of the sensor has been established based on optical waveguide theory, and the method error of the model is analyzed by taking into account the effect on radiation of tapered region. Experiment has been conduct for the feasibility of the proposed sensor. The proposed probe has the advantages of broad range of measurement, high sensitivity and simple configuration.
