摘　　要：通过对《红楼梦》前八十回中贾宝玉流泪原因、过程与意旨的分析,论述眼泪在描写宝、黛爱情,塑造贾宝玉"情不情"独特个性和表达生离死别的男性友情时所起的独特、深刻、诗意的审美功能。Through an analysis of the causes, process and intention of Jia Baoyu＇s tears, it is expounded that tears played a unique, profound, and poetical aesthetic functions in describing the love between Baoyu and Daiyu and in depcting Jia Baoyu＇ s peculiar personality of ＂sentimental love＂ as well as expressing male friendship at the time of departure from the mundane world.
