摘　　要：依法行政正逐渐成为中央及地方各级政府施政的重要理念。地方政府是依法行政的重点,地方政府依法行政是促进社会主义市场经济健康发展、维护社会公众切身利益、落实中国入世承诺、直接提升国家法治水平的客观要求。目前地方政府依法行政工作仍然存在法治意识滞后、法制建设存在薄弱环节、权力运行机制失范、公务员队伍素质不适应依法行政要求等差距。需要通过培育地方政府法治意识、加强地方政府法制建设、提升地方政府公务员法治能力和素质、规范地方政府权力运行机制等措施,推进地方政府依法行政工作。To administrate according to law is becoming an important administrative idea for central government and governments at all levels. It is quite important for local governments to administrate according to law because it is the objective requirement of the healthy development of socialist market economy, the protection of public interest, practice of China＇ s promise when entering WTO and the improvement of national law level. An investigation shows that currently there are still some problems in local govern ments＇ administration such as a weak sense of legality, weakness in the construction of legal system, the non - standard of executive system and the qualifications of administrators. Therefore according measures should be taken to perfect the work of local government.
