摘　　要：茅盾文学奖的设立本身就是新时期以来我国文学制度现代化探索的一种必然结果,在1978年文学评奖制度化的要求下,即使没有茅盾先生的特别请求,设立某种专门针对长篇小说的全国性文学大奖本身就是历史的一种必然要求。这样一来,1978年文学评奖制度下的全国性文学评奖的运作机制,及初步形成的社会主义文学规范,依然从根本上规约着当今茅盾文学奖的走向。The Mao Dun Literature Award is a necessary result of medemization of literature institution in the new time. In 1978, it was a necessity to set up a national literature award for novel even if there was no special request from Mao Dun. As a result, the national literature award operating mechanism and socialism literature norms established in 1978 govern the direction of the Mao Dun Literature Award of today.
