摘　　要：为了进一步提高使用CAD/CAM技术的效益,就必须在不同的CAD/CAM系统之间传送和交换产品数据。本文简述了目前使用最广的产品数据交换规范——IGES的发展简史,介绍了它的文件结构。在论述处理程序的功能后,着重介绍了一种处理程序的结构,其特点是有一个可移植的核心,从而能显著减少设计处理程序的工作量。最后论述了传送和交换产品数据时实体之间的相互关系。In order to further increase the benefit from application of CAD/CAM technology, it's necessary to transfer and exchange product data between different CAD/CAM systems. This paper gives a brief introduction to the short history of the development of IGES-the most widely used specification for product data exchange and its file structure. After discussing the functions of processors,the paper emphasizes a structure of IGES processor which is characterized by a portable nu cleus, thus minimizing the amount of work for developing processors. Finally, the paper discusses the entity relationships during transferring and exchanging product data,
