After Weng graduated from senior high school,in 1981,she applied for a iob at Hong Kong Kaida Toy-making Company,the first Hong Kong-based firm in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.She wrote,and passed,the employment exams and ioined the firm as a member of its first generation of employees.Women employed by the company were called"Kaida Giris."
