摘  要:TCP Vegas是一个著名的传输控制协议,能在早期探测网络拥塞并成功阻止周期性的丢失数据包,但是在高带宽时延积网络中,TCP Vegas在包丢失后恢复到大窗口的行动迟缓,其拥塞控制算法的性能比较差;文章提出了TCP Vegas的一种改进版本的Logvegas,它基于历史拥塞窗口,允许在包丢失事件发生后按对数级速度恢复拥塞窗口;通过在ns2下进行的大量模拟实验表明,Logvegas可以取得比Tcp Vegas更好的传输性能。TCP Vegas is a well-known transport control protocol,which can detect network congestion in the early stage and successfully prevent periodic packet loss. However, TCP Vegas congestion control may function poorly in high bandwidth-delay product networks because of its sluggish response with large congestion windows after a packet loss. In this paper, an improved version of TCP Vegas called Logvegas is proposed, which is based on the history window size and allows a logarithmic congestion window to recover after a packet loss occurs. Extensive simulations carried out by using ns2 show that Logvegas can gain better TCP performance than TCP Vegas.
