摘　　要：蔡雄教授是我国改革开放初期较早从事旅游研究的学者,在中国特色旅游学研究方面作出了有建树的贡献。他的主要建树是:不断探索和论证了旅游业在社会主义现代化建设中的作用,追踪世界旅游发展潮流,走中国式的旅游发展道路,重视和繁荣国内旅游,提出了旅游扶贫乘数效应大的理论,推进我国旅游体制改革,探索中国式的旅游运行机制等。Professor Cai Xiong is the initial scholar to engage in tourism research in the study of Chinese tourism to make a contribution on the stage of China＇s reform and opening up. His main contributions are： continue to explore the feasibility and the tourism industry in socialist modernization construction, track the trend of world tourism development, with Chinese-style tourism development ,cherish domestic tourism, put forward a large multiplier effect of helping the poor tourism ,promot the reform of China＇s tourism, and explore China＇s tourism-operation mechanism.
