摘　　要：文章根据西部黄土高原区生态环境特征、公路交通建设中引发的主要生态问题,讨论了交通生态工程系统的概念以及交通工程建设特点,提出了西部交通生态系统评价指标体系和评价原则、评价方法及规划原则,以供公路交通建设规划参考。Based on the ecological environment characteristics of Loess Plateau in the western district of China and the major ecological problems caused by constructed the system of highway traffic, the concept about ecological engineering of transportation system and characteristics of traffic engineering construction been discussed. Furthermore, some important evaluation indexes, principles and methods in western traffic ecosystems been proposed, which would been given a reference for construction of traffic system.
