摘　　要：号码携带是近年来新出现的智能网业务,号码携带业务的实现使本地电信运营公司的竞争成为可能.电信公司可以用价格、服务上的优势吸引更多的用户,用户也可以自由地选择业务提供者.文章介绍了号码携带业务的一般概念,实现号码携带业务的临时方案和长期方案,并且介绍了国外号码携带业务的规划和发展状况.Number Portability is a rising IN service that makes the competition between local telecom carriers possible . The telecom operators may attract more subscribers with the price and service advantages, while the users may choose their service providers freely. The general concept of Number Portability service and the temporary and long-term solutions to realize this service are introduced. The planning and development of Number Portability service in other countries are also presented.
