摘 要:语类是一种抽象的、为社会所广为认可的语言运用方式,是人们为了实现某一交际目标的语言交际活动类型。近20年来,应用语言学界对语类研究的关注日益增加,其中一个重要的焦点就是对英语论文语篇语义结构和语言特点的研究。本文在综述语类研究三流派特点的基础上,探讨语类意识以及语类意识在英语研究论文写作中的作用,提出论文写作教学语类意识理论框架。文章指出,这一理论框架为提高研究论文写作教学质量、为培养大学生在专业话语社团里开展研究、发表研究成果提供了一个有效的借鉴。Genres are abstract, socially recognized ways of using language. In applied linguistics,the 20 years or so have witnessed an increasing attention given to the notions of "genre" and "genre analysis". One such focus of interest has been on the studies of discourse semantics of research articles and research article writing. With reference to a discussion of genre in three traditions and values of genre theory in terms of pedagogy,this paper attempts to propose a theoretical framework for genetic awareness in teaching "Research Paper Writing" to learners in the Chinese university setting. In raising learners' awareness of how texts are structured and why they are written the way they are,learners are guided to make informed and conscious decisions on the use of language as they write up their research. The paper argues that genre pedagogy in writing with a focus on generic awareness is especially suited to college students and is effective in preparing them to perform successfully in their own discourse community outside the classroom.
