摘　　要：亨德尔的歌剧在经过200多年的历史长河后，基本上被遗忘。如今，如果不足音像店有他的歌剧销售的话，想了解他的歌剧都困难。历史可以有记载，但人的嗜好却是无情的。在当时亨德尔是宫廷的红人，享誉欧洲乐坛，而与他同年出生的巴赫却是默默无闻，但时过境迁，现在，巴赫的作品遍地都是，想找什么样的版本都毫不费力，而亨德尔除了《弥撒亚》、《水上音乐》等少量的作品之外，要想得到他更多的作品却不太容易。OUTLINE / A lot of Handel's operas have been forgotten by the public after 200 years.Perhaps the main reason is that Handel's music,although grand, is as polished as a piece of glass,its appeal limited to royal pageantry.Because of these elements,dramatic content is sometimes lacking.We can safely say Handel was a good composer who understood marketing.But Alcina is a good case of a work that lacks originality.In 1735,it premiered at the newly opened Covent Garden Royal Opera House.
