摘　　要：英语电化教学现如今已经成为社会各界讨论的热门话题。随着多媒体技术的迅猛发展,多媒体计算机辅助英语教学渐渐得到广大专家的青睐。针对英语教学改这一新趋势,通过对多媒体教学与传统教学法的比较,本文将就英语电化教学产生的原因及其特点、优势、设计模式、趋势等方面加以阐述,并由衷希望为深入探索和研究英语教学做出一些贡献。English Computer--Aided Education has been one hot topic in the present society. With the prompt development of multi-- media technology, English teaching aided by multi--media computers are attracting many experts at home and abroad. As to this new trend, this article, comparing the traditional teaching methods and this new, has an intention of explaining its causes, characteristics, advantages, designing models and new tendency with the honest hope of making the great contribution to the further exploration and research of English teaching.
