摘　　要：结合美国麦克唐纳厂型钢轧机的改造项目，介绍了该厂老式轧机改造的技术特点和设计思路，为国内外老轧机改造提供了经验。From the experience with the upgrade of MSC steel corperation in U.S.A., the feature of the upgrade of the old mill and technical innovation are introduced. It can be refered to the upgrade of the old mill.
