摘　　要：在人口老龄化、城镇化及居民收入差距扩大的背景下,湖北省的城镇社会保障体系存在覆盖面窄、保障资金不足等问题,本文借鉴国内外经验,从拓宽社保资金来源、创新基金监管和运营模式等方面进一步完善湖北省城镇社会保障体系,以使更多的社会成员享受社保的阳光和经济社会发展的成果。Under the circumstance of the increasing of the old age population, the quick pace of the citilization and the wide income gap between the social members, the social security system in Hubei province still exist many problems such as the narrow security coverage, inadequate security funds and so on. This article, basing on the domestic and foreign experience, provides the suggestion to perfect the urban social security system through expanding the security coverage, exploiting the financial funds’ main role to the full, exploring the new models of monitoring and operating funds etc. ,so as to make more social members enjoy the sunshine of social security and the fruit of economic development.
