摘　　要：川渝两地的发展,不仅对自身,而且对整个西部地区,特别是长江上游经济区发展都有着举足轻重的作用。川渝两地地域相邻、经济相融、人缘相亲、文化相通、互补性很强,因此升级川渝合作,形成互补优势,是两地发展共同面临的重任。Sichuan and Chongqing have respectively advantages in the west areas, Compared with the devel-oped economic areas in the East, there is a large gap, which might become larger in future. The economic development in these two cities plays a decisive role for their own development, the West development and especially the upper stream areas of Changjiang River. It is an urgent task to upgrade the economic cooperation between Cichuan and Chongqing on the basis of their complementary advantages, e.g. their adjacent position, melted economy, attached relations and similar culture.
