摘  要:以6×8cm2的Er3+/Yb3+共掺铝锗酸盐玻璃作为光波导基底材料,设计出S型,U型和F型三种平面光波导.通过光束传播法对所设计的波导进行仿真模拟运算,S型、U型和F型三种结构波导在1528~1559nm范围内获得有效内增益,计算出其最大内增益分别为7.27、14.06和22.55dB,分别比直波导(6.42dB)高0.85、7.64和16.13dB.研究表明合理的波导结构设计可以保证在较小尺寸的基片上获得较高的信号增益.Three types of planar waveguides with S-,U-and F-bend waveguide structures have been designed based on Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped aluminum germanate glass substrates of 6×8 cm2.The beam propagation method(BPM) was employed to simulate the designed waveguides,and the efficient internal gains were obtained in the wavelength range of 1 528~1 559 nm.The maximum internal gains were derived to be 7.27,14.06 and 22.55 dB for S-,U-and F-bend waveguides,which were 0.85,7.64 and 16.13 dB higher than the value of straight one(6.42 dB),respectively.These results indicate that the reasonable designing of the waveguide configurations brings perspective in obtaining higher gain on smaller size waveguide substrate.
