摘　　要：本文借助弗洛伊德的精神分析和释梦原理对爱伦·坡的“黑猫”和海明威的“雨中的猫”进行分析,探讨这两部作品中猫的形象所揭示的人的精神世界。本文认为,猫的形象揭示了人的恋父情结、恋母情结、焦虑及心理结构,两篇故事中主人公的心理历程和猫的形象相互渗透,完美地诠释了本我、自我、超我的交互作用;进而指出在这两部作品中,猫的形象折射出人类本真世界。From the perspective of Freudian theories of psychoanalysis and interpretation of dreams, this essay gives detailed analyses to two short stories—Edgar Allan Poe' s 'Black Cat' and Ernest Hemingway' s 'Cat in the Rain'—in order to explore the inner universe of humanity reflected in the cat images. This essay believes, based on analyses, that the cat images reveal the Oedipus and Electra complex, anxiety and the mind structure of human beings. The psychological progress of the heroes in the two stories and the cat images permeate into each other, which tactfully demonstrates the interaction of Id, Ego and Superego. It is further pointed out that the cat images in these two stories present an epitome of the inner world of humanity.
