浅谈高校图书馆的音像服务

摘　　要：音像服务在高校教育中起到补充馆藏、辅助教学、提高学生素质和创收的作用。由于受到电子资源的冲击,以及资金投入不足、音像资料管理不完善等因素,使得音像阅览发展遇到困难。改善这种状况,需要音像服务人员提高水平,加大宣传,加强管理,了解读者需求和提高服务质量。Audio-visual resources have become an indispensable part in the collection of the libraries of higher education institutions due to their distinctive advantages of compactness,great capacity,and vivid explicit presentation of information.Such resources not only enrich the university library collection,but also play an increasingly important role in the instructional process.Meanwhile,the audio-visual services provided by the library may also bring about income,which may in turn be invested in the development of the library.This paper discusses the current situations in the construction of audio-visual resources,pointing out that lack of captial,poor management of the resouces,and the impact from electronic resources are the major factors that hinder the development and full use of the audio-visual resources.The paper also proposes that improvement of the situation involves the efforts from all parties concerned,expecially the librarians.The librarians should not only be familiarized with the resources,but also master technical skills necessary in the audio-visual services.
