摘　　要：20多年来 ,中国大陆民办高校的发展 ,经历了初创、试办 ,快速发展及规范发展三个阶段 ,并在发展进程中 ,逐步形成办学体制多元化、办学模式多样化、注重培育各自办学特色及重视民办高教立法等特点 ,以及办学规模不断扩大、学历层次不断提高、法律法规不断健全。In the past two decades,the private universities in China's mainland experienced three developing stages that are the early and experimental stage,the rapid developing stage and the normal developing stage.During this course,the private universities have formed their own characteristics of running the universities,which are the diversity of university running systems and ways,focusing on cultivating their own characteristics and attaching importance to the legislation of private!higher education.The author also discusses their developing tendency that are broadening the scale,updating the academic degrees,finalizing the related laws and regulations and improving the internationalization level.
