摘　　要：1.IntroductionThe rapid growth and expansion of global interaction inbusiness,education,the arts,etc.,have made it important forindividuals working in bicultural settings to have anunderstanding of the dynamics of cross-cultural communication.Scollon and Scollon(1995) state that as a result of theirresearch in international business consultation,it has beendiscovered that some of the main reasons for miscommunicationin the cross-cultural context lie in differences in patterns ofdiscourse rather than as a result of mispronunciation,poorgrammar or underdeveloped lexical resources.They write that,
