摘 要:PHENOLIC wastes are classified as hazardous pollutants, because the release of phenolic compounds resulted in the serious contamination of water and soil and became a threat to human health. This study focused on the treatment of model wastewater of pentachlorophenol (PCP) using horseradish peroxidase(HRP). HRP catalyzes the oxidation of PCP by hydrogen peroxide, and insoluble polymers are generated. The characteristics of the treatment, such as pH, stoichiometry, reaction rate and enzyme dose wereinvestigated. 1 Reactions Initial model wastewater of PCP was prepared by adding PCP stock solution (5 mmol/L, dissolved inmethanol) into buffer. As soon as H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> and HRP were added, the reaction mixture was continuously stirred.The initial PCP concentration was 0.05 mmol/L. Reactions were carried out at 25℃.
