摘 要:The movement of debris flows was studied under natural conditions and simple relationships are given to describe the movement. Data collected at the Dongchuan Debris Flow Observation & Research Station in the Jiangjia Gully was used to analyse the difference between continuous and intermittent debris flows. The investigation proved the existence of relationships between the yield shear stress and the Froude number, the Mannings Roughness Coefficient and the depth of the debris flow, the velocity of debris flows and its depth.
