WELDING METHOD AND QUALITY CONTROL OF JACKET KINGPOST

摘　　要：BZ28-1 jacket is the first fixed SMB (Single Bouy Mooring) structure in China offshore area. It was designed by SBM Company of Monaco and fabricated by Bohai Oil Company (BOC) of China. American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and SBM Company undertook quality inspection. The main standard is the Technology Specification submitted by SBM Company. There was a kingpost supported by four diagonal braces on the top of the SBM jacket. Finding the best weld and quality control method was the key and difficult point. This paper describes the welding procedure test, control of welding distortion, actually-used welding method for the SBM kingpost as well as fabrication result.BZ28-1 jacket is the first fixed SMB (Single Bouy Mooring) structure in China offshore area.
