摘　　要：近年来,中华人民共和国在全国范围内展开了大规模的国土资源调查、整治及保护的研究工作。作为国土资源调查及研究的成果之一的区域性国土资源地图集也在各省、区着手编纂。为适应北京城市建设发展的需要,合理地开发、利用国土资源。As a national cartographic product, the Beijing Land Resources Atlas is for the understanding of the features of Land resources, the study of the economic issues at the macro level, the development of land reform and protection, and the improvement of resources exploitation and applications in the Beijing area. This paper is composed of three parts. The first part describes the principles for seletion and the contents selected of the forty-six maps in four groups. The second part explains the special features expressed by the contents of the maps, by presenting the combinations of different ways of expression, the design of symbols and colours, the optimum design of statistical graphs and the the rerlection of dynamic features of phenomena and so on. The third part states the charaeteristics of the atlas in view of its dispositon of maps, map information, visual plane and the relationship between variation and unity.
