摘　　要：中国东部第四纪冰川证据确凿,自然环境演变相当剧烈,以长江中下游地区为例,第四纪早中时期的气候远不像今天这样为一持续不变的亚热带季风环境,而是气候冷暖交替,既有冰期,也有间冰期环境。这种论断主要依据有关学科取自各个相关地点地层中气温冷暖显著递变的资料,所综合提供的第四纪时期气候带曾经发生过多次水平与垂直地域性方面大幅度迁移的数据和信息。There are conclusive evidences for the Quaternary glaciation in eastern China when the evolu- tion of natural environment was rather intense.For example,in the area of the middle-lower reaches of the Yangtse River,there existed an alternation of cold glacial and warm interglacial cli- mate during the early—middle Quaternary,quite unlike the present subtropical monsoon climate without significant change in temperature.This conclusion is not a mere surmise but is based on the comprehensive information of relatively large regional horizontal and vertical shift of climatic zones during the Quaternary time provided by researches,of related disciplines.
