摘　　要：英国作家托马斯.哈代的悲剧小说《卡斯特桥市长》呈现出鲜明多样的狂欢化因素。脱冕加冕主题、人物形象二重性以及狂欢化时空贯穿作品始终。以巴赫金的狂欢化理论重新诠释这部小说,不仅使作品本身折射出丰富的内涵,也为我们把握自身存在的意义提供了一个崭新的视角。The Mayor of Casterbridge, a tragic novel by British writer Thomas Hardy, presents distinctive and diverse carnival factors. The de-coronation and coronation theme, the duality of the characters, as well as carnival time and space run through the whole novel. Reinterpreting it with Bakhtin＇s carnival theory not only reveals rich connotations in the novel itself, but also provides us with a new perspective to grasp the meaning of our own living experience.
