摘　　要：英国图书馆情况于晚清开始介绍到中国。20世纪二三十年代,中国图书馆界人士赴英访问或学习。抗日战争时期,英国科学文化界支援了中国图书馆事业。中华人民共和国成立后,尤其是1972年中英建立大使级外交关系以来,双方图书馆交流不断开展。The condition of libraries in Britain was begun to be introdaced to China in the late of Ching Dynasty. In the 1920s and 1930s, some Chinese Librarians visited Britain and stuotied there. During the Anti - Japanese War （ 1937 - 1945 ）, the service of libraries in China have been supported by people for civilization and science in Britain. After the founding of P. R. China, especially the establishment of Sino -British diplomatic relation at ambassadorial level in 1972, the communication between China libraries and Britain Libraries has developed.
