摘　　要：文章概述了基于 ATM 技术的公用宽带网的基本策略、网络能力、编号及信令标准的建议,以及 IP 与 ATM 融合技术的模型和目前技术选择的建议。The paper briefs the capabil- ity of the public broadband com- munication network and the basic strategy of developing the ATM- based network,puts forward the model of merging IP and ATM technologies and suggestions in choosing an appropriate technolo- gy at the present stage.The net- work numbering principals and signaling standards are also dis- cussed in the paper.
