摘　　要：评论界历来对多丽丝.莱辛的"科幻小说"评价不高。即使一些支持她的评论家也不得不承认其"叙述简单",并对于其"科幻"的标签不置可否。《玛拉和丹恩历险记》出版后,不仅依旧被归类为科幻小说,莱辛也被认为比威尔斯等传统科幻小说家"思考较少而幻想居多"。本文认为,在《玛拉和丹恩历险记》貌似简单的叙述背后,隐藏着莱辛别出心裁的设计和颇具匠心的安排。她运用时间和空间的倒置、人物身份的追问和纠缠其中的人物关系构建了一组悖论,不仅对现实进行了批判,而且从哲学层面对关乎人类生存的问题进行了拷量,因此,只有超越类型解读的误区才能真正理解莱辛。Doris Lessing＇ s ＂science fiction＂is so far not highly reviewed by the critical circle. Even some of her followers have to acknowledge the simplicity of the narrative and their attitude towards her ＂science fiction＂ is ambiguous. Mara and Dann： An Adventure is no exception. It is relegated again to the science fiction, and Lessing is considered to be more a dreamer than a thinker. This paper argues that hidden behind the apparent narrative simplicity are her exquisite design and tactful arrangement. Through the dislocation of time and space, the seeking of their real identities as well as their entangled relationships, Lessing builds up a set of paradoxes, thereby to criticize the reality and to probe into human existence and survival from the philosophical perspective. To read beyond the misleading conceptulization of genre is, therefore, the correct way to understand Doris Lessing.
