摘　　要：《黑暗的左手》是美国当代科幻大师厄休拉.勒奎恩的代表作。作品塑造了"雌雄同体"的独特世界,在继承和发展这一贯穿于人类文化历史的古老命题的同时,通过科幻小说这一"思想实验"形式,揭示出性别对立是人类一切矛盾的根源所在,重新审视被性别差异掩盖之下的人性本质。这个充满女性特征的世界反映了作者明显的女性主义立场,"对立转化"、"阴阳融和"等道家思想的表达使"雌雄同体"这一概念在作品中得到深化。The Left Hand of Darkness is one of the representative works of Ursula K. Le Guin, the contemporary science fiction master in the U. S. By creating a unique androgynous world, Le Guin develops the old term of androgyny and presents that science fiction is a thought experiment. Since gender opposition is the source of all contradictions of mankind, we have to reexamine human nature under gender distinctions. The femininity of this androgynous world reflects Le Guin＇ s strong feminist stand. Daoism also finds its influence here because the writer expresses her understanding of such concepts as ＂opposition and transformation＂, and ＂unity of yin and yang＂.
