摘　　要：棕榈藤是热带森林宝库中重要的、具有多用途的、仅次于木材和竹材的可再生非木材资源,具有重要的经济价值。概述近年来国内外有关棕榈藤的解剖特性、物理力学及化学性质、加工利用、保护与改性、资源的分类及分布、生态生物学特性及繁殖和栽培技术等方面状况,以促进棕榈藤资源更好地开发和利用,并就今后的研究发展提出了自己的观点。As a most important, regenerating and non-wood resource in the tropical and south sub-tropical forests, the rattan is of great societal, economical, ecological value and only inferior to wood ＆ bamboo. In order to make better use of the rattan, it is summarized in this text that the latest research about anatomical characteristics,physical characters, mechanical characters and chemical characters, processing and utilization, protection and modification, classification and distribution of resource, ecological and biological characteristics, propagation and planting techniques of the rattan. Then, the viewpoint about the research trends is brought forward.
