摘　　要：Samuel Beckett explores the nature of human existence in his Krapp＇s last tape. The present paper briefly illustrates how Beckett succeeds in his conveyance of the thematic approach through his employment of detailed characterization, innovative use of the stage prop and delicate choice of the setting of the play.
