摘　　要：阐述了西方图书馆观念传入中国的历史,分析了西方传教士对中国近代图书馆产生的影响,指出西方传教士在中国创办的图书馆将西方图书馆的理论、图书馆的管理和技术、方法等带进了中国,突破了图书馆单纯的藏书性质,客观上对中国图书馆的近代化产生了推动作用,促进了中国古代藏书楼向近代图书馆的转变。This paper expounds the history of that the western library concept was introduced into China, analyzes the influence of the western missionaries on the generation of Chinese modem library, and points out that the libraries which the western missionaries founded in China have brought the theory of the western library, the library＇s management and technical methods into China, have broken through the pure eollection nature of the library, have contributed to the modernization of Chinese library objectively, and have promoted the transformation of Chinese ancient collection building into the modem library.
