摘　　要：《火山恋人》是桑塔格创作的第一部历史题材的长篇小说,不同于她前期颇具先锋实验色彩的作品,这部小说被称为＂现实主义的回归＂之作。仔细读来,仍可见到桑塔格夸张和跳跃的文风,如对叙事时序的多层次把握。本文试图用热奈特的时间理论分析《火山恋人》的叙事时间,旨在揭示桑塔格通过时间倒错和无时性叙述等手法表现她对时间和空间的看法：历史寓于现在,而现在则预示未来,人们因此在过去的世界里流连忘返。The Volcano Lover is the first historical novel written by Susan Sontag. Different from the experimental works she created previously, this novel is said to be＂a return to realism＂. However, if read carefully, it again shows the overstating and jumping style of Sontag as revealed in its multi-level treatment of the time order. This article tries to analyze the narrative time in The Volcano Lover according to Genette＇s theory of time, aiming to show that through anachronism and achrony, Sontag is aware that history＂exists＂ at present while the present predicts the future, and therefore people are always lost in the past hoping to linger on in it.
