摘 要:约翰.洛克(John Locke,1632-1704)是17世纪英国著名的哲学家、政治家和教育家。在其教育著作《教育漫话》中,阐述了"绅士教育"主张,体现在德育、智育和体育等方面,这是近代教育史上,第一次提出了德、智、体和谐发展的新教育体系。洛克的主张虽然属于早期资产阶级教育观念的产物,但仍然揭示了教育的某些共同规律和教育作为一个独立的人类活动领域的基本特征,在当时具有深刻的理论意义和现实意义,而且对现在的教育特别是对大学生道德教育仍具有一定的积极影响。John Locke was a famous British philosopher, statesman and educator in the 17th century. In his work ON EDUCATION, Locke expounded his idea about "gentleman education", which requested the moral, intellectual and physical education. This was the first time in the history of education to raise the idea of establishing a new education system through harmonious development of morality, intelligence and physical bodies. As the outcome of early capitalist educational concepts, Locke's idea revealed some common laws in education and the basic characteristics of education which was taken as an independent field of human activities. Therefore, the idea had profound theoretical implication and practical utility at that time. Besides, Locke's idea has positive influence upon today's education, especially the moral education of college students.
