论索尔·贝娄《赫索格》主人公身上的萨特存在主义倾向

摘　　要：索尔.贝娄是继福克纳和海明威之后美国主要的小说家,其代表作《赫索格》被认为是他小说中最有价值的一部。小说体现了主人公对自身存在意义的执着追寻以及他对人类真正存在的最终理解。从萨特存在主义哲学思想出发,揭示这种思想在赫索格身上的体现及贝娄对人类及其存在意义问题上独特的理解,可以给予物质富裕而精神存在危机的现代人,尤其是现代知识分子以一定启示。As an eminent American novelist, Saul Bellow is regarded as the inheritor of the place of Faulkner and Hemingway in American literary, history. Of all his novels, Herzog is considered the most invaluable, embodying the protagonist＇s search for self- value and his ultimate understanding of human being＇ s existence. Based on Sartre＇ s existentialism, this paper attempts to examine this thought shown in Herzog and Bellow＇ s unique understanding of human beings and the meaning of human being＇s existence. These understandings may provide some revelation for modern people, particularly the intellectuals, who are affluent though undergoing spiritual crisis.
