摘　　要：Ractopamine is a phenethanolamine leanness-enhancing agent recently approved as a feed additive but is not licensed for use in many countries. An indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） for the determination of rae- topamine has been optimized and characterized. This assay is based on a monoelonal antibody generated from raetopamine-hemiglutarate-bovine thyroglobulin （BTG）, which was applied to the analysis of ractopamine in animal feed samples.
