摘　　要：With an analysis of Saussure's linguistic structuralism and Strauss'cultural structuralism and exploration of their great impact on linguistic and cultural theory respectively, the author of this paper can safely draw the conclusion that "Saussure's perspective was to provide an intellectual seed that was to flower in later decades as structuralism became a general approach to the study of culture". Saussure, together with Lévi- Strauss, opens a new era of structuralism.With an analysis of Saussure＇s linguistic structuralism and Strauss＇ cultural structuralism and exploration of their great impact on linguistic and cultural theory respectively, the author of this paper can safely draw the conclusion that ＂Sanssure＇s perspective was to provide an intellectual seed that was to flower in later decades as structuralism became a general approach to the study of culture＂. Sanssure, together with Lévi-Strauss, opens a new era of structuralism.
