The gas-liquid mass transfer characteristics ofrotor-stator reactors (RSR) constructed with different combinations of rotors and stators with different structures were investigated by deoxidization of water with N2. The experimental studies on the effect of the different combinations of different rotors and stators on the gas-liquid mass transfer characteristics of RSR were conducted at normal atmospheric pressure and under following conditions: rotation speed (N) from 500 r.min-1 to 1450 r.min-1, liquid flow rate (L) from 0.1 m3.h-1 to 0.5 m3.h-1 and gas flow rate (G) from 0.2 m3.h-1 to1.0 m3.h-1. The correlation equation of gas-liquid mass transfer coefficients in the RSR with different rotors and stators combinations was established and the simulation parameters in the equation were determined. The experimental results show that the volumetric gas-liquid mass transfer coefficient (Kxa) increases with the increase of G, L and N. The deoxygenating ratio (e) in the RSR increases with the increase of G and N, while it decreases with the increase of L. Among the six different combinations of rotor and stator with different structures used in the experiments, the experimental results show that the RSR with the rotor and stator combination of SS-RH and SC-RH have better mass transfer characteristics than the RSR with other combinations of rotor- stator structures.
