摘　　要：文章论述了湖北省各高校工会工作在坚持科学发展观,坚持内涵发展,积极开拓创新,尤其是在精心培育自身核心竞争力等方面呈现出来的良好发展态势,并从高校工会的组织建设、机构设置、工作管理、自身职能发挥以及维护广大教职工合法权益等方面,全面阐述了高校工会面临的许多独特发展机遇与严峻挑战,并在此基础上提出了具体应对策略。This paper points out the favorable development trend in terms of adhering to the scientific concept of development and connotation development, in terms of positive innovation and especially in terms of carefully nurturing the core competitiveness in various labor unions of colleges and universities of Hubei Province. It also explores comprehensively the unique opportunities and challenges that the labor unions in colleges and universities are facing from the following perspectives： the organization of labor unions, institution settings, management, its own functioning and the maintenance of the legitimate rights and interests of the majority staff. On the basis of the previous discussion, some specific coping strategies are given.
