摘　　要：列维马代托亚（1887～1947）是一位杰出的交响乐作曲家，特别是其《第三交响曲》，也是同类芬兰交响乐中最出色的作品之一。马代托亚的交响曲与其管弦乐作品一样，都展现出其对管弦乐队各种音色的敏锐感觉及对音乐结构的娴熟掌握。在他的作品之中，也有许多高难度的独唱段落。The music of The Ostrobothnians had long been known through its orchestral suite,which was compiled and performed even before the opera premiere.Highlights from the opera also exist in a 30-year-old Finlandia recording featuring Jorma Hynninen as Jussi.The new production premiere of The Ostrobothnians took place on March 28 this year.Costumes and sets placed the proceedings in the correct historical time but the only thing that was confounding was the arrival of the thugs,when two vehicles shaped like tanks descended from above,as if Martians were invading our world.Apart from this,the performance was realistic and striking.Undoubtedly,the opera conveyed the message of freedom.
