摘　　要：通过研究西部农业生产经营状况和分析西部农业信息资源开发现状,指出西部农业生产经营存在着信息资源开发缺乏统一规划,信息共享程度低,缺乏信息的深层次挖掘与开发,服务农业产业发展的功能弱等问题,并根据西部农业产业特征和西部农业信息资源开发现状,提出西部网上农业信息资源开发建设建议。This paper studies the agricultural production and management situation in the west and analyses the current situation of western agriculture information resource development（WAIRD）. It can be concluded from the analyses that WAIRD lacks unified planning and the information sharing degree is low. WAIRD lacks profound level information mining and development, and serves the development of agricultural industry weakly, According to the characters of west agricultural industry and the current situation of WAIRD, some suggestions for on-line WAIRD are given.
