摘　　要：现代以色列是犹太复国主义运动的产物,它对国内阿拉伯人的歧视、排挤和压制政策使阿拉伯人沦为以色列的二等公民。以色列阿拉伯人的民族意识随其人口的快速增长日益增强,其发展经历了迷失年代、觉醒时期和走向成熟三个阶段。当前以色列阿拉伯人的政治愿望和诉求集中表现在争取和要求与国内犹太人平等的公民权利和地位上,其民族意识的发展凸显了以色列阿拉伯人民主的缺失及以色列民主制度面临的冲击和挑战。As the outcome of Zionism, Israel adopts discrimination and suppression policy, by which Israeli Arabs are forced into a position as secondary citizens. The growing national awareness of Israeli Arabs experienced three stages： lost, awakening, and ripening, with its political demand at present mainly for the equal civil rights and status with the Jews. The development of national awareness of Israeli Arabs highlights the absence of democracy in political system and the impacts and challenges it faces.
