摘　　要：动物文化意象是语言的重要表现形式,是民族文化特征的重要体现和反映。异域民族因其不同的地理环境、人文历史、政治制度、民族习俗、宗教信仰、生产方式而形成了不同的文化意象。本文从多视点、多层面分析英日语言中的动物文化意象及其表现,将有益于英日语言文化的学习和跨文化交际。Animal cultural images, as a significant way of language expression, embody and reflect the cultural characteristics of a nation. Animal cultural images shift from nation to nation due to their distinctive geographical location, human history, political sys- tem, ethnic customs, religion behef, production mode and so on. This paper analyzes the differences between Japanese and English cultures in animal cultural images from multifaceted perspectives, which will be a help in learning and understanding the two languages and cultures.
